Unisk covers

  • The Symfonisk picture frame speaker is available in most IKEA stores around the world and in the IKEA online store. We do not sell the IKEA speakers, only printed covers to wrap the front panel and change the speaker image to your taste.

  • No, installing the cover will not damage the speaker and can always be reversed. No tools are required, just simply pull off the original cover and gently place the Unisk cover.

  • You can install the cover in less than 5 minutes by following the 6 steps in the manual provided with the cover:

    1 Remove the front panel from the picture frame speaker.
    2 Place your custom printed cover with the printed side down on a flat surface. Then center the front panel on the cover.
    3 Turn the small corner flaps of the cover inwards and fasten them to the corner pins of the front panel.
    4 Fold the short sides of the cover and fasten them on the three pins at the short sides.
    5 Fold the long sides of the cover and fasten them on the three pins at the long sides.
    6 Press the front panel back into the Symfonisk speaker.

  • We do not supply a front panel with our custom printed covers since IKEA includes the panel with the Symfonisk picture frame speaker. It would be a wasteful to create an extra panel with the custom printed cover, and this way we can keep both the price and shipping costs low.

  • We have never encountered a Custom Printed Cover with an image light enough to show the Original print of the black IKEA Symfonisk front panel.
There might some colours showing in case a light coloured Custom Printed Cover is mounted on one of the vividly coloured IKEA replacement fronts.

  • Our Custom Printed Covers are designed with specialised fabric to minimise the obstruction of the sound. Any object between the listener’s ears and the smart speaker can alter the sound quality, but we feel our covers are in the sweet spot between sound clarity and visual aesthetics.The breathable fabric is only slightly opaque allowing sound to pass through and also for the print to be visible.

    The Sonos app allows you to tune the sound with the TruePlay settings to perfect the sound quality to your liking after installing the cover.

    Optionally the fabric can be removed from the original front panel before placing the Custom Printed Cover. Peel the glued down fabric from the panel by starting from the back edges.

  • Ideally, your image should have a size of at least 4551 x 3276 pixels in the JPG or PNG file format. Make sure the main subject of the image isn’t close to edges: the image will be cropped slightly as the print will partly fold around the side of the panel.

  • Yes, photos taken with the iPhone are sufficient in quality and can be directly uploaded from the phone. We can process both JPG or HEIC files from the iPhone.
    Please note that the printed image can differ from how the photo is shown on your iPhone screen.

  • You can gently wipe off dust from the cover with a soft cleaning cloth.
    Remove stains as soon as possible by patting with a damp cleaning cloth.

  • Yes, you can combine both covers for the Symfonisk Bookshelf and Custom Printed Covers for the Symfonisk Picture frame speaker in one order. We will bundle all covers together in one package that is shipped as soon as your Custom Printed Cover is manufactured.

  • It is possible to order multiple designs:
    after adding a cover design to the shopping bag, exit the shipping bag and remove the uploaded image with the "x", then upload a new image, set the desired orientation and add it to your order. The shopping bag will remember all the designs you added previously.

  • We accept the following payment methods:

    Creditcard: Pay safely and insured with your creditcard. We support all mayor creditcards.

    PayPal: Payment through PayPal takes you from the checkout into the trusted PayPal environment, check your shipping address and finalise your order payment quickly and secure.

    iDEAL, Giropay, Bancontact or Sofort: Pay directly by bank transfer through the familiar online banking environment of your bank.

  • Yes, the amount in Euros is automatically converted into your local currency by your creditcard provider or PayPal during the checkout.

  • We do not have live tracking for your order process, but we do send out 2 to 3 emails to keep you updated on the order status:

    • A confirmation email is send to you as soon as the checkout is completed.

    • If your order contains a cover for the Symfonisk picture frame speaker, We will send you a status update email when your cover enters production.

    • An email notification is send as soon as the package with your covers is handed over to our shipping partner.

  • It is possible for companies within the EU can order without paying VAT.

  • Our covers for the IKEA Symfonisk speakers are only available for purchase on uniskdesign.com.

    Some selected artists are allowed to resell our Custom Print Cover printed with their own artworks on Etsy.com.

    Please be cautious as there are webshops selling our covers at reduced prices, these are most likely phishing sites that copied photos of our covers and won’t deliver any products.

    • Free shipping for orders over € 50.

    Track&trace is provided for packaging send to addresses in the EU. Most of our packaging is a letterbox size that should fit in the mail slot. Orders within the EU are shipped with DPD, and can’t be delivered to parcelshops from competing shipping companies.

  • Bosnia and Herzegovina, Faroe Islands, Gibraltar, Greenland, Iceland, Malta, Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom

  • We strive to ship orders as quickly as possible. Orders of only Bookshelf covers will be shipped within 2-3 days.
    Orders containing the Custom Printed Covers for the Symfonisk picture frame take 7 to 15 working days to be manufactured before they are shipped.

    You will receive a shipping notification email once the order is handed to our shipping partner.

    • Estimated shipping times within Europe: 2 - 5 working days.

    • Estimated shipping times to the United States and Canada: 6 - 15 working days.

    Unfortunately: additional delays are expected due to reduced air traffic between Europe and North America: Average delay: 14 - 21 days.

 

Returns

  • If your order only consists of Bookshelf covers, it is possible to cancel the order free of charge, if the order hasn’t been shipped yet.
    Orders for the Custom Printed Covers for the Symfonisk picture frame can not be cancelled as the cover is personalised and printed on demand. 

    Message us through the contact form and provide your order ID and the reason of cancelation so we can quickly resolve any issues, and process any refunds or exchanges.

    Cancelled orders will be refunded within 7 days after we receive your cancelation. We will transfer this amount to the account of which the payment has been made.

  • Returning is possible only for Bookshelf covers within 14 days after delivery.
    The Custom Printed Cover for the Symfonisk picture frame can not be returned as the cover is personalised and printed on demand. 

    Send us a message through the contact form and provide your order ID. We will provide you with return shipping instructions. Please mention the reason of return so we can quickly resolve any issues, and process any refunds or exchanges.

    Returned covers should be undamaged and shipped in original or similar quality packaging. Returns with damages from careless packaging wil not be reimbursed.

    Returned orders will be refunded within 7 days after we receive your package. We will refund the order total to the account from which the payment has been made. Return shipment costs are not refunded.

  • We strive to deliver your order in perfect condition. However, if you receive the order damaged or open, please send us a message as soon as possible through the contact form. Provide your order ID to so we can quickly resolve the issue, and process any refunds or exchanges.
